CAASC All State Selections

The Carolina Athletic Association for Schools of Choice has released their All-State picks for the 2017-18 basketball season. Winston Salem Christian School represented well in the CAASC this season and it was indicative in the CAASCs choices.

On the girls side, Freshman Sidney Hatfield (CCC All-Conference Player of the Year), Freshman Jordyn Thompson (CCC All-Conference), and Sophomore Sierra Breeden (CCC All-Conference) were all chosen as CAASC All-State/All Stars.

For the boys, senior leader Joshua Crippen, Junior Marcus Harris (CCC All-Conference), and Junior Corique Smith were all selected to represent WSCS in the CAASC All- State/All Star teams. Freshman Aaron Potter received Honorable Mention All-State.

The WSCS Lady Lions finished up the season by winning the Central Carolina Conference Championship and moving on to finish 2nd in the CAASC State Tournament. They lost to a very experienced, very talented Mt. Zion Christian Academy out of Raleigh.

The boys’ finished the regular season as runners up in the Central Carolina Conference behind an Elite Division team in Piedmont Classical HIgh School. They had stellar performances in the CAASC State Tournament but finished 2nd to New Life Christian Academy out of Fayetteville.
